Generalmusic (GEM) | Promega 2 |
Description | In 2008 Generalmusic launched the ProMega 2, a portable a digital keyboard derived from the PROMEGA 3 instrument using proprietary DRAKE DSP technology with 160-note polyphony. The ProMega 2 offers pianists of all genres a compelling "Real Piano" experience in a digital instrument. Using GEM's patented Physical Modeling algorithms for Damper Physical Model, Natural Sympathetic String Resonance, Advanced Release Technology (no sample looping) and FADE, (Filter Algorithmic Dynamic Emulation), the ProMega 2 produces all of the important sonic aspects of great piano sound. With 45 PCM / real time physical modeling sounds, including the prestigious Fazioli, F308, and acclaimed physical models of Rhodes, Wurlitzer and Clavinet the ProMega 2 is designed to please the most discriminating pianists. The newly designed, 88-key Hammer Action weighted keyboard drives the three completely independent, mixable sections (Pianos, Vintage Keys, Bass/Orchestra) of the ProMega 2. The DRAKE DSP engines provides 160 note polyphony, Real Time Physical Modeling for simulation of classic vintage instruments like the Rhodes, Wurlitzer and Clavinet, two fully programmable DSP effects with 15 reverbs and 15 multi-effects, a programmable and 4 band digital graphic equalizer. All of this power coupled with a no nonsense user interface and MIDI controller functions makes the ProMega 2 a flexible performance instrument. The ProMega 2 comes with 64 presets and 64 user memory locations to store customized performance and controller settings. Rounding out the features of the ProMega 2 are a complete compliment of connections for MIDI (in/out/thru), TRS Stereo outputs, AUX out (x2), stereo input with gain control, a direct computer connection (PC1, PC2, or MAC) and jacks for 3 programmable pedals. |

Channel Aftertouch, no matter which key, it will send a Channel message. Poly Aftertouch, sends the pressure per key instead of the whole channel. |
